Here is Inside Tennis’s take on the most memorable moments of the year.

1. Turmoil – the US Open Women’s final is tumultuous implosion that stirs controversy and will long be remembered.

2. After 119 years, the Davis Cup is completely revamped.

3. Following a dismal start, Djokovic streaks to glory and No. 1

4. Ageless Federer wins four titles, including his 20th Slam, and becomes the oldest ever No. 1

5. Everything changes. The Davis Cup, tie-breaks in the fifth set at Wimbledon and Aussie Open, shot-clocks, restrictions on warm-ups, new arenas in New York and Paris, towel racks and a World Cup. And Osaka, Halep, and Wozniacki all win their first Slams.

6. Nothing changes. Rafa wins his 11th French Open. Like they did a decade ago, Djokovic, Nadal, and Federer again finish as the top three. US men don’t win a Slam for the fifteenth straight year.

7. Young ATP wannabes haven’t won a Slam yet, but Sascha Zverev is knocking on the door.

8. Federer, Nadal, and Djokovic have won the last eight slams in a row, while for the second year in a row four different women win majors.

9. Little Croatia loses to France in soccer’s World Cup, but beats France in the Davis Cup

10. Broadcaster Justin Gimelstob is arrested on suspicion of felony battery and pleads not guilty. A January 31st court appearance awaits
