A Tennis Camp for Everyone

If you’re sitting in cold and snowy Connecticut, the thought of playing tennis outside can seem like a faraway fantasy, with little hope of coming true. But if you know that in a few short weeks you’ll be at a fabulous Caribbean resort, sharing stories and pointers with some of the best players to ever take the court, well, that’ll take the sting out of winter and get you ready to sharpen your game.

That’s the situation Todd Nicholson of The Player’s Edge Tennis Association finds himself in. And of course he’d like you to join him. (In the Caribbean, not Connecticut.) His well-known Maui tennis fantasy camp is expanding operations to Curtain Bluff Resort in Antigua, British West Indies, where Tracy

Austin, Johan Kriek and Taylor Dent will help all levels of players step up their games.

It’s a powerful lineup. Austin is a former No. 1 and U.S. Open winner. Kriek has 14 singles titles, including two Grand Slams. And Dent has four ATP titles, probably the most famous of which came in Memphis, where he schooled future No. 1 Andy Roddick in the final.

The camp “is a great opportunity for people who are living in questionable weather to get away and work on their game,” Nicholson says. “And people love to hear what it’s like to play on the big stage” from the tennis stars. “That’s as enjoyable, maybe more, as improving on the court.” For more info, visit curtainbluff.com/tennis/events
